Fiona Hills Physiotherapy
Fiona Hills is a Jesmond-based Chartered Physiotherapist with over 20 years experience of providing the highest quality evidence-based care for patients suffering from a wide range of musculoskeletal problems in Newcastle upon Tyne. Fiona is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a member of The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. She is also a member of The Acupuncture association of Chartered Physiotherapists.
In 1993, she gained a degree in Sports Science from Canterbury Christ Church College, University of Kent. She developed an interest in injury and rehabilitation during her studies, which led to her pursuing a start to her career in Physiotherapy.
She qualified in 1998 with a BSc Hons Degree in Physiotherapy from University of Northumbria at Newcastle upon Tyne. Fiona worked within the NHS, consolidating her physio skills, before moving into the private sector where she has worked extensively within private practice in Jesmond and Gosforth for the past 15 years.
Her experience is broad, ranging from working within Occupational Health at Northeast Ambulance Service, to treating the Ballet dancers from Rambert Dance Company at the Theatre Royal, Newcastle upon Tyne. Her clinical interests and expertise include treatment of acute and chronic spinal conditions, sports and soft tissue injury, core stability training and pilates-based exercise, all types of joint problems and nerve pain.
